Now this was a cartoon. The Eastern anime influences on Western comic-book storytelling, the sleek animation, the diverse and interesting cast of characters, the palette choices to convey emotions—for lack of a better word, Teen Titans was intense.

Plus Puffy Ami-Yumi did the theme song. In English AND in Japanese.
